Quiet Lake

Quiet Lake, 6 x 8
sold

I haven't quite found the best spot for taking photos of my work while here, so this one is a bit shiny....northern edge of Western Lake across from our house. It's been completely calm in the mornings.

Beauty! I hope you are having fun too and am so impressed that you are getting your painting time in with all the vacation fun!!! You are incredible.

The reflections of the tree trunks are great: thin and disappearing.

Julie, you are an amazing woman! On vacation, herding three girls and Parker who won't stay out of the street, and you find time to paint. My hat is off to you.

I like the reflections of the trees in the water especially. I also fine the horizontal plane of everything in the painting comforting.

Have a great day.

Thanks, everyone. It's actually not to hard to find time to paint. The sun comes up ridiculously early (5:30!), so if I wake up by 6:30 and am outside from 7:00 to 9:00, I'm home by the time everyone else wakes up (and in time to make breakfast!)
