In It Together

In It Together, 6 x 6

These live oaks struck me as supporting each other--they weren't leaning on as much as they were rooted so closely to one another, and had grown up together--through it all.  Clearly, I'm still on a tree spree....

Hi Julie,

I love the tree spree. This reminds
me of going on drives in the country and imagining the secret life of trees -- as though they would step out of themselves at night, like ballerinas and dance out love stories. A beautiful work.

and a glorious spree it is! I like the way they seem to lean in toward one another. Also like that bit of heat in leading in from the right corner.

Love your "tree spree", all so different and each painting so "inviting"!

Thank you! I'm really enjoying it. And there are countless opportunities to paint trees in Austin!
