Single Shade Tree

Single Shade Tree, 12 x 12

I had the time yesterday to paint twice (!), so I took the one I painted in the morning and painted a larger one. Somehow, these just went smoothly, maybe because I actually had plenty of time. I'm very happy with the way both of them turned out.....

Really nice, Julie.
I like your colors and strokes.
And love the way you painted the parts of the sky showing through tree branches.
Keep it up!

I love this one -- your treatment of the tree's foliage is unique and very cool; great colors, too -- I like those reddish brown tones peeking out and the dotted stroke effect. Very energetic!

Great job! No wonder you felt good about them. Isn't it amazing how good it feels when the painting is going well? As far as I'm concerned a painter's high beats a runner's high hands down, and it's not as hard on your joints.

I am so in love with your style! The dots of light shining through the tree, the composition, the warm color of the road...everything about this one is perfect.
