Cattle Guard

Cattle Guard, 8 x 10

The cattle must have been elsewhere--their food lay baled in the field, but they were nowhere to be seen--maybe the cattle guard wasn't so effective after all?

I'm painting at least two or more a day this week--trying to complete what I can before I sign, frame, and ship pieces to Oregon for the show next month. Today I gathered many of the pieces in one room and leaned them inside their frames against a wall......it was great to see it all together.

Hi Julie,

Yes I think you have a whole lot to be proud of. This is another gorgeous work.

I love this one, Julie. Great sense of perspective and and the line work is terrific.

Beautiful. I like the way the trees divide the canvas and then divides again at the fence.

I saw on the news last night that The entire southern part of the state from Austin on down is in an exceptional drought. Guess everything is dead there, but you make it look beautiful with your warm golds and yellows.

Agree with Gwen, I especially like the separation of the foreground from the background. I have not thought of cattle guards in such a long time, when we were kids we loved to walk or attempt to walk across my grandparent's cattle guards. Looking forward to hearing about the Oregon show...take care.

I love this one! I love the foreground interest the fence adds, and the colors are perfect. Someone will be lucky to own this one.
