On the Move

On the Move, 6 x 8

We had a busy weekend, but it was wonderful.  I was able to paint every day, and even did two bigger paintings (for me, that's 12 x 12 these days).  I did this little one Friday before I dove into handling my oldest daughter's birthday party--not much sleep Friday night!  I deviated slightly from the tree them, just to play around with more cows and values.  I think I need to adjust the leader here--she looks as if she's attempting a leap....don't see too many cows doing that!

Hi Julie,

Birthdays are a mother's territory aren't they. Keeping it happy, and exciting, and making the day a memory.

The brushwork in this painting is so lush.

Happy Mother's Day!

Oh, I love your cows. Glad you were able to paint so much this weekend ... not me!

Thank you both! The birthday was definitely my domain--13 year-old daughter and friends; but so much fun to watch them grow and turn into who they are--spending time with her and several of her friends was priceless. And I got to paint a lot on top of that!

I like your black angus cattle. They are quite nice in the painting. Takes me back to our ranch.

Been a busy day. I worked the tasting room while everyone else was off. I am ready for a nice dinner, wine and sleep!
