Tree-lined Riverfront

Tree-lined Riverfront- study, 6 x 8

This is the view from our porch in Hunt. Endless trees line the riverfront--pecans, walnut, oaks--all kinds--literally line the frontage forever. It's a plain composition, and so much so that I hesitate to paint it--"never paint trees in a line" goes through my head. But it's what I see so often in my favorite spot--couldn't help it.

Love it Julie! And, sometimes, "rules" are made to be broken! I think our inspiration comes from many places, and your favorite view is a lovely one!

Who says never paint trees in a line. Now there's a rule that makes no sense. These are sooo beautiful.

I opened your blog and just sat there saying "Oh!" So wonderful.

Love the simplified shapes and colors in this, Julie. Seems a bit of a departure for you, but it really works! See you soon.
