Pear Therapy

Pear Therapy, 9 x 12

This is one I found that I did recently that I hadn't posted. Initially, it was because I was having trouble photographing the darks--the reflections on them were impossible. I mostly solved that, then just forgot to post it. The pears reminded me of a bunch of girls talking, sharing, leaning on each other's shoulders as girlfriends do....
-here' a shout-out to all my girlfriends, near and far. You are all so supportive and amazing, and for you I am so very grateful!!

This is great Julie! I know just what you mean about girlfriends. I am leaving today with some of mine for my 50th birthday celebration! It was in December but it is never too late to celebrate with your friends. I am sure we will look like those pears when we are together!

Have a wonderful time, Denise! I'm heading out for some much needed time with longtime pals this weekend, and can't wait. Hope y'all have a blast. :)

That's a fun and well suited comment to go with with your fun pear painting. So how did you solve the reflections problem in the darks? This is a problem I've experienced as well. Letting the painting dry for a while helps, using a grey card to read the midtone and adjusting my white balance accordingly helps, but sometimes it's still a problem. Any info you may have would be much appreciated. Cheers!
