HIdden Barn 2

Hidden Barn 2, 6 x 6

This is a rework of the piece I just did with palette knife--a different take. What do you think?
Very different feels...

Effective contrasts--dark, light--red, green. Very nice!

Both are great Julie. The other is a real explosion of paint, incredible energy, and this is a more thoughtful and designed piece. So I am fascinated by the way different treatments of the same subject work so well.

Fabulous painting.

Love both - and you are right - very different feels! It will be fun to see how the two approaches continue to grow together!!!

Amazing the difference the technique makes. Both are so interesting due to your wonderful composition and and color selection. This one, more calm and refreshing. The first one, high energy and very painterly and leaning toward abstract. Very nice!!

It always amazes me how different two paintings of the same place can be, even when they're done in the same method. How can you choose, they're both wonderful?

I love the bold abstract masses. Bold, but not hectic.
