Distant Pier

Distant Pier, 10 x 8
sold

We're in Florida this week--the same spot we came last year. We love this area, and are sad to think that the gulf oil spill may affect it as soon as this week.

This view is just a short walk from the beach house where we're staying. These trees line a lake, and the pier (one of many) reaches into it. Families can be found fishing, canoeing, and stand up paddle-boarding at the lake.

I love this painting! Very tragic about the spill, though. It is difficult to watch the images coming out of the gulf region. I hope this does not affect your vacation. I so loved our summers at Seaside!

Hi Julie,

How magnificent! It's horrible to
think that this tranquility could be
hit by the oil spill.

Super work.

This is such a beautiful painting. The verticals of the trees and the calm horizontals of the water give it a restful feeling!
