Desert Creek Bed, Big Bend

Desert Creek Bed, Big Bend
8 x 16 in., oil on panel
sold

This is the last of the paintings I did in Big Bend last week...Laurel and I painted from the cover of a bridge. The bridge covered this dry creek bed, and provided wonderful shade throughout the afternoon for us. Again, the purples in the shadows and pinks in the light really made the scene.

Love all your BB paintings but find this one my favorite. Think I painted in the same spot earlier in the morning. with the wind protection of the overhead bridge. Jim and I saw y'all's car when we were headed back from the basin. What a great week!

Awesome Julie,

Beautiful feeling of being right there -- the light and design. Terrific.
