Desert Creek Bed, Big Bend
8 x 16 in., oil on panel
sold
This is the last of the paintings I did in Big Bend last week...Laurel and I painted from the cover of a bridge. The bridge covered this dry creek bed, and provided wonderful shade throughout the afternoon for us. Again, the purples in the shadows and pinks in the light really made the scene.

Love all your BB paintings but find this one my favorite. Think I painted in the same spot earlier in the morning. with the wind protection of the overhead bridge. Jim and I saw y'all's car when we were headed back from the basin. What a great week!
NICE!!!
This is a great one! The values are so realistic. We were there 3 Februarys ago...so enjoying the re-visit.
I love this! Really beautiful painting, Julie.
Love this one! You caught the feeling!!!
Hi Julie. I've been allocated 3-5 sites to award a Lieber award for inspiration and interest. I love your blog, I study your blog and I think you deserve one. Please check back to my blog to receive your award and to pass it on. It's legit. Helen
Awesome Julie,
Beautiful feeling of being right there -- the light and design. Terrific.
