Snow Melt

Snow Melt, 6 x 8

Another attempt at a "snow" painting. Kind of a snow painting, anyway. The snow melted so quickly (and was spotty to begin with), that the fields were patches of snow and grass. Temps were down to 17 F here last night, but in typical Austin fashion, the coming week's highs will be in the upper 60s, lower 70s.....ahh, winter.

I'm noticing Texans are all posting snow paintings. As for those of us who are tiring of the cold, we're painting people at the beach and flower gardens!

The difference a novelty makes...

We had minus 20 Celsius last night, but our temperatures are rising too. You had the same temperatures here last night, that we did this morning. So strange as it's full winter here. Love the painting.

Susan is so right. We have spring fever and can't wait for the snow to just go away! Lovely painting though..even if it is of snow!

Kay, I think it's that we're always seeking new ways to see things--so anything different is welcome. I'm sure you all are ready for warmer weather. I couldn't handle more than the few days of it we got these last weeks!

Another wonderfully peaceful painting, Julie.
Having moved here from Ohio, I really miss the snow in the winter, but grateful that I no longer have to shovel it in the spring.
