Chapel Dulcinea

Chapel Dulcinea, 6 x 8
sold

Today was the most gorgeous day in Austin, and as if that wasn't enough, I got out and painted with my Plein Air Austin friends. We met at a place a few miles outside of Austin called the Wizard Academy (no Harry Potter--but a marketing school--good name, right?) Anyway, Chapel Dulcinea is a small, open-air wedding chapel on the property that overlooks a beautiful part of the area, back toward Austin. It was a lovely subject to paint, and in this weather, made for quite the perfect morning.

Beautiful chapel painting, Julie. Nice to finally have a great Texas winter day for plein air!

Wow, this is beautiful! Great place and very well painted. I can't imagine your weather. I love winter but I could seriously go for some of your climate right about now - a nice shock to the system : )

Beautiful painting. How fortunate to paint outside. We are buried in snow, here in New England.

Great looking painting. I just commented on Stephen Parker's painting of the same scene. Both of you did such a beautiful job!
I am doing a plein air workshop in Amelia Island, Fl the week of Feb 7. so hope we have good weather. Your work is so inspiring!

What a beautiful day to be outside! Your loose brushwork nicely captures the essence of this magical place, Julie.

It's been so great looking at three different treatments of this chapel. All unique and wonderful. Yours is just fantastic as always.
