Meandering Creek

Meandering Creek, 10 x 8

The creeks are full in our part of Texas right now--a refreshing change from the drought this summer. The bonus is that it should be a fantastic spring for the wildflowers (and those who will paint them!)

The creek "invites" you into this painting, Julie..well done! I miss the Hill Country...

Once again, I must compliment you on the quiet elegance of your paintings. Do you use a limited palette of colours to achieve this quiet restful effect, Julie?

I suppose I do, Marie. I use titanium white, french ultramarine blue, cad yellow, lemon (or pale) yellow, cad red, and alizarin crimson. I find unlimited colors within these, though.
