At Rest

At Rest
6 x 8 in., oil on panel

Austin has this great little organic farm not terribly far from where I live called Boggy Creek Farm. The Plein Air Austin group met there for one of our paint-outs this winter, and while I wound up painting another subject, I took some photos before we painted. This tractor caught my eye. It was parked restfully in the shade, waiting for Spring.

Nice painting. Love the red tractor. It just pops with all that green. Like to see all your brush strokes, too.

Julie, love the loose, abstract feeling of this scene and tractor!

Hi Julie,

I love the abstraction in this. It looks like full out summer there, quite the contrast from our still brown landscape speckled with snow.

Beautiful work.

The tractor help to establish the scale of the tree. Once again, Julie, I love the painting!

I agree with the others, beautiful abstraction and love the pop of the red tractor against the green; great painting!
