Red Mower

Red Mower, 8 x 6

Clever title? :) This is another red riding mower that sits on the property next to ours in Hunt. I keep wandering over to the fenceline to paint--there are more structures and old equipment on the neighbor's land than ours, and it keeps me comin' back. I enjoyed tackling the screened structure--not a barn, not a carport, help me, here.... I'm not sure I got it right, but it was a start!

Patio? You completely got that faded see-throug quality! I also love how the shadow in front leads the eye in. Wonderful piece!

Love the freshness of this piece. Color in the mower played against all the green. One day I am going to venture into the plein air world. You are inspiring. But...it is 100 degrees and 100% humidity today so think I will wait a bit.

I love the light and the soft edges in this painting. Beautiful depth also.

This red mower caught my attention right away. I think it's very clever of you to make a painting out of this scene! I think it is beautifully done.
Glad I found your blog, I'll be back.

p.s. I'm not too far from you, I live in Houston.
