Gathered Together-study, 6 x 8
I thought I'd post a little bit of the process today, primarily because I prefer the middle version here. I was experimenting with the foreground in the final product, and it just isn't what I'd envisioned. I did manage to take a few photos while I painted, however, and since I always find it interesting when others post "process" photos, I thought I'd share these.

Oh I love seeing this Julie. It helps me always to see the process of others - kinda like a little live demo! Did you actually have pears set up or were you working from a photo? The colors and light on these pears are just wonderful and very eye appealing to me.
I did have pears set up, Denise. I even had one for a snack afterward!
I love this Julie, thanks for sharing the photos...I too, really enjoy seeing how others work!
Haha, isn't painting fun? It even keeps up healthy by getting more fruit into our diets!
Love the range of colors in the pears and that strong dark horizontal along the bottom. Thanks for showing your process steps!
As the others, I did enjoy seeing your steps Julie. Regardless of the medium, always interesting.
Love the title!
Julie,
Thanks for sharing your steps. Such a great way for all of us to learn from the "big girls". I like all three! I think it says a lot about your talent that each one could stand on it's own as a work of art. Love the red against the green, whatever colors you mixed together they are beautiful.
Thanks for sharing your process, the evolution of a painting is interesting. Nice brush work Julie.

Another cracker Julie, and the previous landscape. Both wonderful paintings. All the best Julie.
Vic.
Thanks for the demo of the lovely pear trio.
Very interesting to see.
And just wonderful results.
Thank you all. I think we all enjoy the process almost more than the result, or we couldn't be artists! Funny, we don't get to see the evolution of each other's work too often. I love seeing it, too!
This is a lovely still life Julie. The colors and brushwork are very nice.
Enjoyed seeing the progression, Julie. lovely painting.
