Hillside Road, 5 x 7
sold
California has the most compelling hills often with trees sprinkled atop them; I snagged a quick photo of this winding road as we drove along--I'd love to find out where it leads...
The PAA show last night had a great turnout, and looks fantastic. I even met blogging friend Camille LaRue Olsen who came to see all the work, and enjoyed seeing all the fantastic art that Austin plein air artists produce. Laurel Daniel, Quaing Huang, V....Vaughan, Trish Seigel, Stephen Parker, and so many others have work showing. Stop by if you have a chance--it's in the Corridor of Arts in the Chase Bank Building at 700 Lavaca, in Austin.

These are all beautiful, Julie. The colors and composition in this one are arresting.
Don't you just love those golden California hills. Well done! It was great seeing you at the reception last night. I too, was impressed with the tremendous talent in the PAA show and was very proud to be a part of it. BTW, thanks for the shout out. 'Hope to see you at a paintout soon!
Julie, it was so great to get to meet you! I was bowled over by the quality of the work in the show and inspired to join you guys before long in doing plein air.
I have been just now catching up with what you've done more recently -- so many wonderful paintings... I'm off to look at them some more! :) See you around and congrats on a great show!

Hi Julie, Congratulations on your exhibit! Sounds fantastic! Love your painting! Living in the San Francisco Bay Area, this is just how the hills look, golden with spots of greenery!
Lucky, you, Nancy! It's a gorgeous part of the country.
Hi Julie,
This says California to me. Perfect. I'm glad your show is great. You are in excellent company.
