Llano River Oak, 6 x 8
This was a spot on another ranch my husband and I visited last year on the Llano River. It was a beautiful stretch of the river; the LLano is as pretty as it gets in some spots.
I'm going to try to keep up the daily blogs over the next two weeks, but as a mom of three in May (worse than December), I may have to take a day off more often than I'd like just to keep my sanity! We'll see. I did paint today....

Hope you get this one, Julie. I really love the live oaks you've been doing, this one and "Casual Observer," especially. Hope to see you soon.
Got it, Stephen! And thank you. I am becoming partial to the paintings with cows in them (my own)! I've always loved them. We need to all find a place to paint plein air with cattle wandering around. Come out sometime on Wednesday with Laura's group--I hope to be there next week, and it's a great excuse to get out.
Hi Julie,
Here's a scene I'd like to be in. Just perfect.

Great one! I would love to be sitting there under that tree right now! I also agree about May being busy, and I only have TWO kids! haha!
I like that idea of finding the place with cattle wandering around (and wander they do...) Name it and I'll be there!
Oh! I love your work! I'm originally a Fredericksburg, Texas girl myself- living as an expat. in Washington. Your paintings make me homesick.
